🌱 Fold & Share Fun

Focus: Understanding whole, halves, and quarters as equal parts

Theme: Early math, shapes, and fair sharing

Materials:

  • Paper

  • Optional: crayons or markers

Instructions:

  1. 🟦 Show one sheet of paper and call it “one whole.”

  2. 🔁 Fold once, open, and point out the two equal halves.

  3. ➗ Fold in half again to make four equal parts (quarters).

  4. 🔢 Count the pieces aloud and trace the lines.

  5. 🎨 Color or sticker each section.

  • Do both parts look the same?

  • Which is bigger: a half or a quarter?

  • Is this fair to share?

Optional Extensions

  1. ✂️ Tear & Compare: Tear along folds and stack pieces to compare sizes.
